Per-service consent
Visitors can decide per category or per service. For each service they see the controller, purposes, data collected, legal basis, retention and data transfers.
Scanner and automatic blocking
A real browser crawls the site both before and after consent, watches cookies and external requests, and flags anything that starts before the decision. Without GTM, the banner itself blocks scripts until consent.
Regional rules
EU, United Kingdom and Switzerland: prior consent. USA: notice and opt-out, respecting the Global Privacy Control signal. Brazil and all other countries can be set separately.

Everything denied by default, updated instantly after the decision. A returning visitor's choice is restored before any other tag.

Switching from another cookie banner

Do I need a developer?
No. In Google Tag Manager you add the Cookieren template as one tag, without GTM you add a single script line to the head of your site. The scanner recognises your services, and the texts and design are set in the admin.
Does it meet the GDPR and Google Consent Mode v2?
Cookieren asks for prior consent as the GDPR and the ePrivacy Directive require, offers accept and reject with equal weight, logs every choice and sends all six Google Consent Mode v2 signals. The website operator remains responsible for the correct setup and the content of the texts.
Is the Free plan really free?
Yes, without a card, for small websites: up to 50 subpages and 5,000 pageviews a month, one website per account. On this plan the consent log is kept for 30 days. If you need more, you can switch to a paid plan at any time.
What happens if my free website has more than 50 subpages?
The banner sees which subpages visitors open, and the scanner counts them as well. If more than 50 subpages add up in the last 30 days, we email you and you have 14 days to choose a plan. If you do not, the banner pauses. The paid plans have no limit on website size.
What happens after the 14-day trial?
We email you 3 days before it ends. If you do not choose a plan, the website moves to the Free plan (if your account still has it free), and the extras you set up pause until you choose a plan. If you subscribe during the trial, the first charge is only at the end of the trial.
What happens if I go over the monthly pageviews?
On the Free plan the banner pauses until the end of the month; we email you at 80 and 100 percent. On paid plans the banner keeps running and pageviews over the limit are billed per thousand on the next monthly invoice. If you go over regularly, a bigger plan is cheaper.
Where is the data stored?
In the European Union, in Microsoft Azure's data centre in Sweden. We do not store visitors' IP addresses, only a one-way salted hash, and we derive the country from the browser time zone.
Can my agency manage my website?
Yes. From the Basic plan you can invite extra users to a website besides the owner (Basic: 2, Pro: 5, Premium: 10). They only see that one website, not the subscription or your other websites. You stay the owner of the website.
What counts as one website?
One domain and all of its subdomains, for example example.com, www.example.com and shop.example.com. Another domain, such as the example.de language version, is a separate website with its own plan. Test (staging) domains can be added from the Basic plan: there the banner is marked TEST and choices are not recorded in the log.
Can I have several websites on different plans?
Yes. Every website has its own subscription, and an account can hold several websites on different plans. One website per account can be free. You can change the billing details yourself.
How do I switch from Cookiebot?
Turn on Cookiebot compatibility mode: your existing GTM triggers, data-cookieconsent attributes and Cookiebot.renew() links keep working unchanged. The scanner shows you if cookies of the old CMP are still on the site.
Can I cancel any time?
Yes. The subscription renews monthly, can be cancelled with one click in the billing portal, and runs until the end of the month already paid. You can change plans at any time: moving up, you only pay the pro rata difference.
